Julie Gail Grossman, MD

Dr. Grossman is a fellowship trained complex surgical oncologist who specializes in the surgical and multimodal treatment of patients with sarcoma, melanoma, and other skin and soft tissue tumors.

Dr. Grossman's research interests focus on understanding the role of the tumor immune microenvironment in soft tissue sarcoma, and how to utilize new diagnostics and therapeutics that will ultimately improve patient survival.

Dr. Grossman joined the faculty at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2022. She graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas and then attended Tel aviv University for medical school. She completed her residency in General Surgery at Washington University in Saint Louis, where she also was a post-doctoral research fellow in surgical oncology in the laboratory of Dr. Ryan Fields. She subsequently obtained a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Univeristy of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she cultivated her expertise in skin and soft tissue cancers.   

Dr. Grossman is a surgeon-clinical trialist with a focus on novel treatments in soft tissue sarcoma. She is a board certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. Dr.Grossman sees patients at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center near downtown Miami and also in Doral. She operates at University of Miami Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is dedicated to taking an individualized, multidisciplinary approach to provide the highest-level of care for her patients.
