Alan Dal Pra, MD

Dal Pra’s clinical specialties include genitourinary cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney, renal, urinary tract, and penile) and thoracic tumors (lung, mesothelioma, and other tumors within the chest). He works closely with different multidisciplinary teams at Sylvester to provide the most compassionate and patient-centered care.

Dr. Alan Dal Pra is an Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He also serves as Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Sylvester at Coral Gables, The Lennar Foundation Medical Center.

Dr. Dal Pra obtained his Medical Degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and underwent Radiation Oncology specialty training in Brazil and Canada. He has postdoctoral training and fellowship in Genitourinary Oncology at McGill University and at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University of Toronto, where he completed training in Genitourinary Translational Oncology at Bristow Lab.

Before joining the faculty at the University of Miami, Dr. Dal Pra worked in Switzerland as a senior consultant and investigator. He is the principal investigator of a European multicenter trial and investigator or co-investigator of several prospective studies. He is the recipient of many research grants and has authored or co-authored articles appearing in Nature, Nature Genetics, European Urology, Lancet Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, Red Journal, and other peer-reviewed journals.
